It was good to read about Nicole Barr, a 12 years girl who has scored 162 IQ, two points higher than Mr. Einstein and Dr. Stephen Hawking.
We all heard the term IQ many a times but do we really know what is it and have we ever tried to calculate our IQ?
An intelligence quotient (IQ) is a score derived from one of several designed test to assess the intelligence. The abbreviation "IQ" was coined by the Psychologist William Stern for a scoring method for intelligence tests he advocated in a 1912 book. In the present, many IQ tests are developed, the raw score of the norming sample is defined as IQ 100.
By this definition, approximately two-thirds of the population scores between IQ 85 and IQ 115, and about 5 percent of the population scores above 125.
IQ scores have been shown to be associated with such factors heredity and environmental factors. IQ scores are used for educational placement, assessment and evaluation of job applicants.
As per Sanjeev Sabhlok’s blog, an Indian has an IQ of 80-85. Have you ever calculated your IQ? I just tried and excited to see that my IQ is 132. If you also want, please visit the link
