A mother is not just the mother; she is a cook, an alarm clock, a washer, a cleaner etc. For a daughter, she is the first ever friend in life. She is the one with whom a daughter can share everything without hesitation. A mothers’ love is same for both- son and daughter, but daughter and mothers’ bonding cannot be explain in words. A mother is the shopping partner, movie partner and gossip partner. She is always ready for her daughter for suggestions, guidance or just lending shoulder at the time of need. She can reads face, without even said a single word she can understand the mood and everything that is inside a daughter’s heart.

What we look in a person when we meet him/her for the first time?  Looks/ clothes/ sense of humour or the soul? People spend hours in choosing a dress, in make-up, to make themselves presentable but how much time we spent for self- improvement?

Everyone is joining the rat race of being slim, confident or at least mock confident and to improve the outer beauty. Gyms, spa, Parlours visits are more than any spiritual centre or temple. One can spend hours sitting in parlours for their turn and then for the treatment but can not spare some quality time for prayers or meditation.

Have you ever tried calling to your own number?? It is always engaged. We talk to so many people over the phone in a day but when we try talking to ourself, it is engaged. Same way, we talk to so many people in a day around us when have we ever tried to talk to ourself?

Forget about us, have we ever tried to talk to the soul in the body of the person we are dealing with? We always talk to the body and sometimes we prejudice also about people depending on our thoughts. When we judge people on the outer beauty, they also do the same and it leads a peer expectation for us also to look better. There is nothing bad in doing efforts to look good, to dress well and behave confident but if we neglect the inner beauty  over the outer beauty then this is the worst mistake.

Try to improve the inner as well as outer beauty and don't judge people on the outer looks only.

We need to understand, we are not the hair, not the skin. We are the soul that lives within.                                                                                                                                                                                                         

Yes, this is the demand of time. At offices, at home at social media people are liking the one who behave according to them.

No matter whether they are genuine or not but people see what they want to see. If someone wants you to smile in his happiness, just do it. We came across many people you acts like they are genuinely interested in my problem but in actual they are not.

I observe few official in my office who pretend to be social to everyone but at the back of the person they are talking bad words with whom they are sharing their lifetime moment few minutes back. I observe these people who are pretentious and least concerned for someone's feelings. But they call it need of the time. The best part is they pretend so well that the person at the other end could not even identify it.

This is also an art, to make everyone feel like you are my best buddy. Such people are of two types, one who are genuinely everybodies' friend and feel good for all and the other who only pretend to be so.

But whatever it is I feel sometime, that even I need to start being pretentious as I saw people becoming success by making others feel good.

From last two days, only one news is flashing on all news channels i.e. the rape case of one five years old girl and one two and a half years old girl in two different areas of New Delhi, the capital of India.

Yes,  the country which claim to have the richest culture, the land of Ram, Krishan and the land where small girls are considered as the goddess. These girls are raped brutally in the very same land and that too during Navratras-Nine days of Durga Pooja. On one side, few people are worshipping the Goddess, Maa Durga and on another side, few other criminal people are molesting, assaulting Maa Durga. Yes, this is called the variety of people, We live with criminals and pujaris in the same country.

From the childhood days, I have seen people desiring for a son instead of a daughter. Is this the reason for that? A girl needs special care from her childhood, then her education for which she never repay the parents and then dowry at her marriage- these thoughts used to made people dislike a girl child. With the education, a change in mentality took place and I feel that people have started thinking beyond this gender discrimination. These days girls are getting equal rather more education and other facilities as the boys.

Personally, I got equal opportunities in my life as my brothers and others peers got. But now on reading and hearing about these news, I am scared. Being a mother of a girl child who is two years and two months, I am scared for her. I am scared for her protection, her safety, her dignity. I don't know, what should I do? She hardly know these worldly things, what should I teach her? Where should I hide her to protect from these monster? I don't want to tell her that there is a bad world around where she is not secure. There are people who don't think for her as her mother do, as her father do and as her relatives do.

As per the news, the criminals who caught are adolescent and minor but known to the parents. What should be done by parents not to see this phase? Should not they allow their daughters to play with her uncles, cousins, neighbours? They say girls wearing small clothes provoke rape, they say a rape victim must call the rapist "BHAIYA" to save herself. They say watching TV promote rape, and then they say eating chowmein arouse such feelings.

What was in mind of those rapists, above all they are also minor. They are also son of some mother, What made them to do so at this tender age when they must play with dolls or guns for that sake, they are playing with someone's life? I really want to know the cause of such rape when a girl does not even know the difference in small and long dresses, when her world is all about Humpty Dumpty or the 5 little monkeys only. What made them to behave so brutally to a sweet little smiling princess who must be with them thinking they will treat her as sister and give her chocolates.

I as a mother of a small daughter really want to know what caused them to do it so that I can identify what I need to do to protect my princess from these monster she can find anywhere around her.

Selfie, the most common but still the most attractive task these days. You met a celebrity, take a selfie with him. You are roaming somewhere and could not find someone to take a click, so it yourself. Enjoying with friends take a selfie and post it on social media. Stay connected and keep informing all about your activities.

But today a silly question arise in my mind, do we really know ourselves? We take selfies in three digits number in a month but do we spare three minutes to talk to ourselves? Another me says, are you mad? I don't know myself, what are you saying? Who knows me better than me?

If we know ourselves better, then why it hurts when someone blame us for something or misunderstood us? Because what other thinks of us matters more than what we think of ourselves. Are we taking selfies to know ourselves better, to see our pics or to show it to others?

I was travelling in a bus when a man suddenly started shouting on a man for pushing him and he may have considered him a pickpocketer. All passengers suddenly looking both of them and the man felt embarrassed. After few more bus stops, again that person started shouting on some another man. This time also his reason was same and the same was passengers' reaction. The difference was in the behaviour of the man on whom he was shouting. He did not felt embarrassed rather he was smiling and he just get aside of the shouting person.

I went to him and asked for his smile, he said: I know myself from years and he knows from few minutes only. He is angry on someone so he is looking everyone from the same eye. His answer reminded me of many instances when I used to prove myself, sometime before my boss, in-laws or husband. But I realised that if I know myself in true sense, what others think of me does not matter at all.
